Role details The Collinsville Multi-Purpose Health Service is seeking applications for a Clinical Nurse to join their team on a temporary basis. Your opportunity The Clinical Nurse (CN) provides nursing services within the health service settings and is responsible for a portfolio with a focus on clinical care/leadership, management, education, and/or research. The activities are predominantly clinical in nature but also provide support to a Nurse Grade 7 or above in management activities. The CN provides advanced level clinical skills to ensure patient-focused evidence-based nursing care, plans and coordinates the clinical management of patient/client care, and provides leadership and support to other nursing staff. About The Team Collinsville Multipurpose Health Service is in the Whitsunday Regional Shire in the town of Collinsville, approximately 86km southwest from Bowen, a journey which takes approximately 1 hour from Bowen. Collinsville has approximately 2500 residents. The Collinsville Multipurpose Health Service consists of eight acute care beds, seven aged care beds, 24 hr emergency care, outpatient care, and visiting Allied Health Services including pharmacy, radiology, occupational therapy, physiotherapy, speech pathology, mental health and AODS, child health, social work, Nurse Navigator, and Diversional Therapist. About Our Hospital And Health Service Mackay Hospital and Health Service has 6 hospitals, 2 multi-purpose health services, and 4 community health centres that employ more than 3,700 staff. The district covers an area of approximately 90,000km2 and provides services to patients and their families in Bowen, Cannonvale, Clermont, Collinsville, Dysart, Glenden, Mackay, Middlemount, Moranbah, Proserpine, and Sarina.
