The Role: Provide clinical leadership to the Sub-Acute, Aged and Community services , Royal Hobart Hospital (RHH) wards, off-site units and the greater community to enable the delivery of quality patient care to aged care clients referred to the service. Provide an effective consultation service for all RHH wards, off-site units and residential aged care facilities across Hospitals South. Develop and promote the efficient and effective provision of aged care based on the best practice clinical and organisational principles. Support and promote an environment that fosters teaching, quality improvement and research activities within the service. The Team: Be part of a dynamic, fast-paced supportive team. Work across a multidisciplinary work environment. Focus on ongoing professional and career development. You will need: Demonstrated advanced level of clinical expertise, critical thinking and leadership skills in the management of aged care issues including the assessment and management of the cognitively impaired patient. High-level interpersonal and communication skills in mediation, negotiation and conflict resolution with a proven ability to build effective relationships and foster a cohesive team approach across the practice setting. Comprehensive knowledge of legal requirements, including ANMC competencies, codes of practice and relevant policies that impact the delivery of services in the practice setting. Details of appointment: Permanent, full-time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full-time, part-time, and casual vacancies. Salary: $114,851 to $121,886 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type Salary Packaging: You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible. Benefits available to eligible candidates: Payment of $15,000 staged over three years is available for Nurses and Midwives who move to Tasmania from interstate and remain employed full time for three years or more, on top of relocation allowance already available. Travel and relocation assistance support available up to $15,000 for eligible appointees from overseas, and up to $10,000 for appointees from interstate.
