Clinical Nurse Consultant - CAMHS Patient Flow (527919) Department of HealthCommunity, Mental Health & WellbeingCMHW - MH & Statewide Services Applications must be submitted by Wednesday 19 February, 2025 11:55 PM Award/Classification: Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Award, Registered Nurse, Grade 6 $114,851 to $121,886 pro rata, per annum Employment type: Part Time Region: South Location: An exciting opportunity exists for a highly self-motivated Clinical Nurse Consultant to join the Child and Adolescent Mental Health Services Team in New Town. The Team: The Child and Adolescent Mental Health Service (CAMHS) is a tertiary level clinical mental health service, providing triage, assessment, treatment and support to young people aged 0-18 and their families statewide. The multidisciplinary team works across several sites and provides a therapeutic service for both inpatients and outpatients across Tasmania. The Role: As a senior clinician within a multidisciplinary team delivering person centred, recovery orientated and trauma informed care to all individuals accessing child and adolescent mental health services, and in accordance with the National Standards for Mental Health Services, Agency policy, legal requirements and relevant professional competencies: As a CAMHS Patient Flow clinician you will be working within a larger team, triaging referrals for statewide CAMHS Providing phone assessment and ascertaining level of risk, offering support, psychoeducation and assistance to families and health professionals Providing recommendations for ongoing support and follow-up Details of appointment: Fixed term part time, day worker position, working 60.8 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible until 30 June 2026. Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full time, part time, and casual vacancies. Salary: $114,851 - $121,886 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10 % based on qualification type. Benefits available to eligible candidates Payment of $15,000 staged over three years is available for Nurses and Midwives who move to Tasmania from interstate and remain employed full time for three years or more, on top of relocation allowance already available. Travel and relocation assistance support available up to $15,000 for eligible appointees from overseas, and up to $10,000 for appointees from interstate. Successful applicants will be required to meet the essential criteria: Registered with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse and possess specialist tertiary graduate or post graduate mental health/psychiatric nursing qualifications; or completed, prior to the transfer of nurse education to the tertiary sector, an accredited hospital based program that led to registration as a psychiatric nurse by the relevant nurse regulatory authority within Australia, New Zealand, Canada or the United Kingdom Current Working with Children Registration *Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee’s responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change. This includes notifying the Employer if a registration/licence is revoked, cancelled or has its conditions altered.
