The Child and Family Health Service provides multidisciplinary primary community health care services for infants, children and their families who reside in the geographical boundaries of Emerald, Blackwater, Capella, Springsure and the Gemfields. The core element of practice includes child health and developmental surveillance, health promotion and education, early identification of family needs and risk, and responding to identified needs. About the role: The purpose of this role is to provide advanced clinical leadership and clinical expertise relevant to the speciality of Child Health and Youth Health nursing. The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) works in collaboration with the Nurse Unit Manager, Nurse Educator and wider CQHHS program team to support the clinical unit in provision of safe quality healthcare through exemplary clinical nursing standards of practice for the specialty of Child, Youth and Family Health Services. About you: Current nursing registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and current practicing certificate. While not mandatory, a post-graduate qualification in Child and Young People's Health, Public Health, Sexual Health, or Health Promotion will be well regarded. Demonstrates advanced clinical evidence-based skill and knowledge in Child Health and Youth Health nursing, service coordination and interdisciplinary care management evidenced by feedback, recency of practice and achieved clinical competencies. Demonstrates leadership and management capability.
