Clinical Nurse Consultant - Renal Services (522615) Department of HealthHospitals & Primary Care - Hospitals NthLaunceston General Hospital Applications must be submitted by Monday 17 February, 2025 11:55 PM Award/Classification: Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Award, Registered Nurse, Grade 6 $114,851 to $121,886 per annum Employment type: Full Time Region: North West Location: Seeking a Clinical Nurse Consultant - Renal Services to work in partnership with Consultant Nephrologists, Nurse Unit Manager, Haemodialysis and Peritoneal Dialysis Nurses and the multidisciplinary team to ensure quality nursing service and patient management in a satellite Renal Unit. The Team: Our service is a Clinical Nurse led outpatient service located in Burnie, on our beautiful north-west coast. We provide care for all aspects of patients requiring renal replacement therapy in an outpatient environment in the community. All our services work closely together to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce and the Tasmanian community. The Role: Working in partnership with Consultant Nephrologists, Nurse Unit Manager, Haemodialysis and Peritoneal Dialysis Nurses and the multidisciplinary team to ensure quality nursing service and patient management in a satellite Renal Unit. The provision of clinical leadership, and authoritative expertise in clinical care and interventions, as well as knowledge and guidance for individual case management, across renal replacement therapies including Haemodialysis, Peritoneal Dialysis and Transplantation. Provision of clinical nurse consultancy on all aspects of clinical practice involving renal replacement therapies and act as a role model and expert clinician in the clinical setting in accordance with best practice. Provide clinical leadership and coordination, in collaboration with the Nurse Unit Manager for haemodialysis and home therapy nurses. Great work-life balance: Monday to Friday day work with rotational on call. Nurse led Outpatient Clinical Environment. Salary: $114,851 to $121,886 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023. In addition, the following allowances calculated on the salaried incremental point may be available: Post Graduate Allowance of up to 10% based on qualification type. Salary Packaging: You’ll have access to salary package a range of benefits including living expenses up to $9,010 + $2,650 in meal entertainment each FBT year + other benefits if eligible. Benefits available to eligible candidates: Payment of $15,000 staged over three years is available for Nurses and Midwives who move to Tasmania from interstate and remain employed full-time for three years or more, on top of relocation allowance already available. Travel and relocation assistance support available up to $15,000 for eligible appointees from overseas, and up to $10,000 for appointees from interstate.
