About the Role Professor Marie Bashir Centre Camperdown was opened in 2014 and has been designed to be a place of healing and recovery. The centre is integrated with community mental health services to ensure people can get back to work, school, family and friends as soon as possible. The centre is a warm and calm environment with murals, a peaceful garden and colourful common areas for patients and their visitors. The Clinical Nurse Educator provides support and clinical development/training to staff while fostering a preceptor/mentor role. The role formulates, coordinates, and evaluates unit-based educational programs; assessment and demonstration of clinical procedures. The aim of the position is to use a participation methodology to build: The capacity of individuals to deliver safe, evidenced-based care, incorporating reflective practice with the aim of continual improvement. A patient and family focused culture that supports the NUM and staff to deliver innovative models of care and proactively manage change. The position contributes to the overall improvement of health service delivery. Ideal Candidate Current nursing registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA) and relevant post-registration experience in the specialty. Holds relevant clinical or education post-registration qualifications, or such education and clinical experience deemed appropriate by the employer.
