Clinical Nurse (Forensic Community Team) Provide clinical mental health services to consumers and their families with complex emotional and behavioural mental health needs. Job details Position status: Fixed Term Temporary Position type: Full-time Occupational group: Health - Nursing Classification: Nurse Grade 6 (1) Workplace Location: Gold Coast Job ad reference: QLD/GC615936NG Closing date: 05-Feb-2025 Yearly salary: Fortnightly salary: $4138.10 - $4431.10 Job duration: 6 months (with possibility of extension) The Role: An opportunity has become available for a Clinical Nurse (Forensic Community Team) to join Gold Coast Health (GCH) where the focus of our 12,000-strong team is on providing world-class health care to people living in the Gold Coast and northern New South Wales region of Australia. You will: Deliver clinical services aimed at maintaining optimal level of consumer functioning. Provide delivery of care in a variety of hospital and community settings including at external venues and consumers' homes. Apply professional knowledge and skills in clinical decision making under the practice supervision or professional guidance of a more senior clinician. Contribute to the clinical education of students and other less experienced staff in consultation with the support of senior clinical staff. About you: To be successful in this position you will require: A Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent. Registration with the Nursing Midwifery Board of Australia. Credentialed through the College of Mental Health Nurses (or be prepared to work towards a credential in Mental Health Nursing). A graduate certificate or greater within a relevant specialty area is highly desirable. Driver Licence. Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B. Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required. Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed. Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost). About Us: The Forensic Community Team provide safe and effective management of consumers subject to Forensic provisions in compliance with the Mental Health Act 2016 . The team works to enhance the overall knowledge, skill and capability of the service to understand this specialist area and compliance with legislative requirements.
