Our values are: Integrity | Compassion | Accountability | Respect | Engagement About the opportunity: Position: Clinical Nurse - School Based Youth Health Nurse Vacancy: Permanent part-time, 56 hours per fortnight Contribute to the prevention of illness and injury and maximise the positive health outcomes for young people by applying the principles of primary health care in the school setting using a social model of health. Provide an opportunity for young people in secondary school to access health information, advice, support, brief intervention, and referral through confidential individual health consultations. Requirements: Qualification: Bachelor of Nursing or equivalent certification relevant to the position is mandatory. Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and possession of a current practising certificate. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager prior to commencement of clinical duties. Highly Desirable: Possession of a relevant postgraduate qualification in an appropriate field is highly desirable. Such experience may be discipline specific or have a service area focus. The applicant ideally will have a working knowledge of a range of software packages used in the clinical and management environment, including Microsoft Windows, Excel, Access, Matrix, and PowerPoint. Travel: Please note, from time-to-time this position will be required to travel to, and work at, other facilities located within the Rural Hospitals Service Group network to participate in meetings for planning, quality, performance, training and education, or clinical activities. This is a Vaccine Preventable Disease (VPD) risk role. Please refer to the Role Description for further details.
