About the role Gold Coast Private Hospital is currently looking for an experienced Scrub Scout Nurse to join our team of professionals in providing excellent patient care on a full-time basis, 76 hours per fortnight, working various shifts across a 7 day roster. Must be flexible with availability, on call and weekend work. Your duties will include Prepare and maintain the operating room for surgery, ensuring all necessary equipment and supplies are sterile and ready for use. Assist the surgical team by scrubbing in, passing instruments, and anticipating the needs of the surgeon. Monitor and manage the sterile field to ensure patient safety and prevent infection. Collaborate with the surgical team to provide optimal care during surgeries. Maintain accurate and timely documentation of procedures and patient information. Adhere to hospital policies, procedures, and safety protocols. A minimum of 12 months experience as a RN Scrub Scout. Scrub scout experience in multiple specialties or a willingness to learn. Current Registration with AHPRA. Commitment to Quality Patient care. Confident to liaise and support VMOs. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Strong knowledge of surgical instruments and procedures. Ability to work efficiently under pressure and adapt to changing situations. Commitment to maintaining a sterile and safe environment.
