Clinical Nurse Specialist - CAMHS (526894) Department of HealthCommunity, Mental Health & WellbeingCMHW - MH & Statewide Services Applications must be submitted by Thursday 20 February, 2025 11:55 PM AEST Award/Classification: Nurses and Midwives (Tasmanian State Service) Award, Registered Nurse, Grade 5 Employment type: Full Time Region: North Location: 46 Cameron Street, Launceston Exciting opportunity to be part of a reform into Child & Youth mental health services as we expand to improve care to the young people in the north. The Role: As part of the MDT providing specialist interventions to those young people with severe and complex mental health issues. Be a part of the assessment team in providing crisis intervention and support to those presenting in crisis situations. You will need: Extensive experience and demonstrated specialist level knowledge of contemporary mental health nursing and an understanding of mental health issues in relation to children, adolescents and their families, in both inpatient and community settings. Proven ability to provide a range of assessments and therapeutic interventions relevant for children, adolescents and families accessing services and the ability to acquire further expertise in this area. Demonstrated experience and knowledge of other services and agencies in the context of providing specialist mental health assessment, advice, and training including the capacity to develop and maintain partnerships with a broad range of key local stakeholders. Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills including negotiation, conflict resolution and decision-making skills and the ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team and to liaise and consult effectively with stakeholders and other service providers. Demonstrated understanding of and commitment to the Mental Health Services Strategic Plan and a capacity to contribute towards the introduction of the model of care within a community setting. Details of appointment: Permanent, full time, day worker position, working 76 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. *notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Salary: $106,570 to $112,440 per annum. Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023. Benefits available to eligible candidates: Payment of $15,000 staged over three years is available for Nurses and Midwives who move to Tasmania from interstate and remain employed full time for three years or more, on top of relocation allowance already available.
