About the role: The Youth Drug and Alcohol Clinical Services (YDACS) unit based at John Hunter Hospital is seeking a highly experienced and dedicated Clinical Nurse Specialist to join the passionate, multidisciplinary team. Our service is open 7 days per week.As the Clinical Nurse Specialist, you will provide leadership for specialty clinical practice and service delivery within the service environment to maximise the health outcomes for the patient.You won’t be working alone. You will be supported by the Paediatrician, Nursing Unit Manager and other multidisciplinary professionals within the team and the wider service. Professional development and Clinical Supervision are encouraged and supported, and DACS provides education sessions regularly.Our successful candidate will possess highly developed skills in drug and alcohol nursing, with a minimum of 3 years of prior experience in the space. You will have strong communication skills to be able to provide information to clients and their families, as well as a high level of maturity.
