About the role The Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 (CNS2) coordinates and delivers high quality nursing care to patients/clients in accordance with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia’s National Standards of Practice for Registered Nurses, criteria for CNS2 as outlined in the Public Hospital Nurses and Midwives (State) Award; Policies and Procedures of the Ministry of Health (MoH) and Northern NSW Local Health District (NNSWLHD) and in accordance with the National Practice Standards for Mental Health Workforce and the NSW Health Mental Health Competencies. The Mental Health CNS2 is responsible for facilitating safe, evidence based, person centred nursing care, including the principles of Trauma Informed Care and Recovery.
