Clinical Nurse Specialist, Mental Health Inpatient Unit Employment Type: Permanent Full TimePosition Classification: Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2Remuneration: $113243.15 - $116963.48 + SuperHours Per Week: 38Requisition ID: REQ556866Location: Broken Hill What you'll be doing The Mental Health Inpatient Unit (MHIPU) Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) will provide high quality, evidence-based care to consumers within the Broken Hill MHIPU and Mental Health Prevention and Rehabilitation Unit (MH-PARC). Assist with developing the clinical skills and competencies of MHDA staff across inpatient service units whilst working in partnership with the other clinical leads and CNE. Provide assistance, and actively participate in care planning with MHDA staff to ensure person-centred, recovery-focused goals which address and align with current presentations. Support care planning for MHDA clients across facilities and services. Demonstrated ability to manage complex clinical care and service delivery issues and problem solve through the development and use of clinical management plans. Demonstrated ability to exercise extended autonomy of decision-making while working as part of a multidisciplinary team and apply professional and ethical boundaries when dealing with complex situations. Demonstrated skills in the development & facilitation of patient, carer education and staff in the Mental Health Drug and Alcohol (MHDA) clinical area. Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating with others. Detailed knowledge and understanding of harm minimisation and evidence of leadership in patient safety and quality innovation. Demonstrated competence in the use of health-related information technology. Demonstrated emotional intelligence, written, verbal and technological communication skills, including computer skills.
