Job Description

The Team: Are you a dedicated Registered Nurse with a passion for staff health and immunisation? We’re looking for skilled professionals to join our dynamic Staff Health Team in delivering our seasonal influenza vaccination program. This role offers flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to make a real impact on staff wellbeing. The Role: This casual role focuses on administering Flu vaccines, ensuring compliance with health policies, and providing education on immunisation. Work with a multidisciplinary team in a fast-paced clinical environment. Minimum Requirements: Registered Nurse and Nurse Immuniser certification required. You will need: Demonstrated clinical competence and proven ability to safely and effectively administer vaccinations, including managing potential adverse events, in accordance with national and state immunisation guidelines. Comprehensive understanding of current immunisation standards, protocols, and legal requirements, including cold chain management and accurate documentation. Excellent communication skills to provide clear, evidence-based information to consumers, address concerns, and contribute to a positive clinic environment. Details of appointment: Fixed term, casual position working as and when required, commencing as soon as possible for approximately 12 or 24 months. Notwithstanding hours to be negotiated with the successful applicant. Applicants should note that, for a period of twelve months from the date of publication, this selection process may be used to fill subsequent or similar full-time, part-time, and casual vacancies. Salary: $106,570 to $112,440 per annum (Pro rata). Our Employer 11.5% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Plus 25% Casual Loading - Equivalent of $67.15 to $70.85 per hour. Salary range is in accordance with Nurses and Midwives (Tasmania State Service) Agreement 2023. Eligibility: Registered with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse and/or Midwife, Authorised as a Nurse Immuniser with the Tasmanian Public Health Service. Certificate as a Nurse Immuniser registered with Public Health within Tasmania. Applicants should note the following criteria are desirable: Current Driver’s Licence.
