Your Opportunity: Deliver clinical services within an integrated mental health service environment with a multidisciplinary team focus. The provisions of these services are to consumers and carers experiencing and affected by serious mental disorders and other serious mental health problems across both the community and inpatient settings. Participation in all aspects of the Model of Service Delivery including an extended hours service. To provide expert clinical and patient-centred care within Acute Care Team by supporting the facilitation and provision of quality and cost effective nursing services which are consistent with contemporary standards and evidence-informed practice. What we're looking for: Proven ability to provide high quality medical care to patients requiring palliative care input. Proven ability to work in an interdisciplinary health care team. Demonstrated excellence in communication skills. Demonstrated ability to actively participate in a working environment supporting quality human resource management practices including employment equity, anti-discrimination, health and safety, and ethical behaviour. Preferred Qualifications: Nursing: Mandatory possession of a nursing qualification from a registered tertiary institution or completion of an approved hospital training program and Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with a current annual practicing certificate is essential. Psychologist: Mandatory possession of a qualification from a registered tertiary institution as a Psychologist and Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with a current annual practicing certificate is essential. Occupational Therapist: Mandatory possession of a qualification from a registered tertiary institution as an Occupational Therapist and Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency with a current annual practicing certificate is essential. Social Worker: Mandatory possession of a recognised degree in Social Work, and eligibility for membership with the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW). Eligibility is dependent on the candidate having completed a University level Social Work degree accredited by the AASW and that the candidate does not have any other outstanding professional competency or ethical issues or complaints known to the AASW which may preclude membership. Overseas qualified Social Work candidates require a “certification of eligibility” letter from the AASW to confirm their eligibility for membership. Overseas qualified applicants should include such evidence with their application to be considered for short-listing in the selection process. Appointment to this position requires proof of qualification and if applicable registration or membership with the appropriate registration authority or association. Certified copies of the required information must be provided to the appropriate supervisor/manager, prior to the commencement of clinical duties. Why join us?
