We are now looking for an Integrated Health Manager to lead a dedicated team in delivering coordinated care and integrated health services across multiple community health programs. Role The Clinical Operations Manager is a regional leadership role responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of Sunrise Health Service’s Health Centres. This position works closely with Health Centre Managers to ensure the efficient and compliant delivery of primary health care services. The Clinical Operations Manager will provide guidance and support to clinical staff, foster continuous improvement, and ensure that best practice systems are in place to enhance health outcomes in the communities we serve. Key Responsibilities: Regional Responsibility: Oversee the development and maintenance of core primary health care skills within clinical teams, tailored for remote health care. Ensure appropriate staffing models with a balanced mix of skills, experience, and gender for culturally safe operations. Provide supervision, training, and support for staff, focusing on clinical management, health promotion, and preventative health measures. Work closely with the Executive Manager, Clinical Operations, to manage performance and professional development. Oversee clinic administration, including program planning, business plan implementation, leave rosters, consumables, and emergency on-call coordination. Lead Continuous Quality Improvement activities, ensuring clinics meet accreditation standards (RACGP and ISO:9001). Foster a positive workplace culture through supportive leadership and role modeling. Nominated Clinic Responsibility: Coordinate and provide comprehensive primary health care services to individuals, families, and communities, ensuring alignment with Sunrise Health Service protocols (e.g., CARPA Manual). Support Aboriginal Health Practitioners (AHPs) as primary health care providers and mentor trainees throughout their development. Collaborate with other areas and agencies to deliver integrated, multi-disciplinary primary health care. Maintain efficient management of information systems (including Communicare) to support coordinated patient care. Identify trends and health service gaps in the community and drive improvements through CQI processes. Support the recruitment, rostering, and performance management of clinic staff. Assist in the orientation of new staff to ensure effective team-based care. What You'll Need to Succeed: Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a General Nurse or Aboriginal Health Practitioner. Preferred qualifications in Public Health, Primary Health Care, Leadership & Management, or related fields. Education and Training qualification (desirable). Current First Aid Certificate. Non-adverse National Criminal History Check. Current OCHRE clearance. Acceptable vaccination status to work with vulnerable people in the Northern Territory. Right to work in Australia. What You’ll Bring to the Team: Extensive experience in primary health care with advanced clinical skills in remote areas. Proven leadership abilities, including resource management and team development in a remote primary health care setting. Strong communication skills, including the ability to write reports and liaise with diverse stakeholders. Demonstrated commitment to improving health outcomes through a multidisciplinary team approach. Understanding of Aboriginal health issues, health inequality, and the primary health care principles specific to the Northern Territory. Familiarity with the Communicare Health IT system (or ability to quickly learn). Commitment to Quality Management and Continuous Quality Improvement in a health care environment. Why Join Us?
