The role requires you to work closely with our doctors in providing clinical assistance and is accountable for the quality of patient assessments. You must be a Registered Optometrist with AHPRA. Your key duties and responsibilities will include (but are not limited to): Orientating, developing and directing the team Staff training in diagnostic equipment Implementing ophthalmic procedures and guidelines Coordinating with excellent problem-solving skills Managing stock and supplies Ensuring safe practice and compliance Taking patient history, vision testing, and insertion of eye drops Setting up for minor procedures Performing clinical testing on patients including the use of OCT, Ascan, Bscan, and Visual Fields Educating patients on various procedures and treatments Our practice is a ‘paperless practice’ so a good knowledge and understanding of computers and software packages is desirable. This is a full-time position Monday to Friday only. Hours may be rostered between 7am and 6pm. Experience is essential.
