Clinician Quality Assurance OfficerFull-time Temporary with a Possibility of Permanency The ACT Ambulance Service (ACTAS) Clinical Governance Unit (CGU) is seeking an appropriately experienced person to fill the role of Clinician Quality Assurance Officer. The CQAO will conduct clinical audit relating to Communication Centre (ComCen) Clinician activities. The CQAO will audit and review cases, identify issues, and implement quality improvements that support a best practice approach to the service provided by Clinicians. The CQAO will actively apply the National Safety and Quality in Health Service (NSQHS) Standards to Clinician activities and work closely with the accreditation team to ensure that practices comply with the Standards. Eligibility/Other Requirements: Current AHPRA registration with the Paramedicine Board of Australia. Current ACTAS Authority to Practice at an Intensive Care Paramedic or Ambulance Paramedic level with a minimum of three years post Authority to Practice at level, is highly desirable. Recent practice in completing the Clinician role, with at least 1 month of conducting Clinician shifts within the past 12 months. Tertiary qualifications in paramedicine will be highly regarded. Notes: This is a temporary position available immediately for a period of six months with the possibility of extension up to 12 months and/or permanency. There will also be a mandatory requirement to maintain clinical currency with a nominated time spent working in operations.
