In this role, you will design and implement advanced cloud, data, and AI solutions for critical government projects that drive innovation, enhance security, and transform national defence capabilities. Key Responsibilities: Design, implement, and optimise cloud architecture solutions using platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud, tailored to government, defence, and national security needs. Lead the development and deployment of data and AI solutions, ensuring scalability, security, and performance. Collaborate with clients, stakeholders, and internal teams to understand requirements and deliver innovative cloud, data, and AI architectures. Provide strategic advice on cloud adoption, data management, and AI strategy, particularly in high-security environments. Support the migration of critical workloads and services to the cloud, ensuring compliance with relevant government security standards. Stay up-to-date with emerging cloud, data, and AI technologies, integrating them into innovative solutions that benefit national security and defence initiatives. Lead and mentor junior architects and engineers, contributing to team development and knowledge sharing. Key Requirements: NV1 to TSPV security clearance is mandatory for this role. Extensive experience in cloud architecture and cloud service platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP), ideally within the Australian government, defence, or national security context. Strong expertise in designing, deploying, and managing data architectures, data lakes, and AI solutions at scale. Proven track record of working with sensitive, high-security data in accordance with Australian government standards (e.g., ISM, PSPF). Exceptional problem-solving skills with the ability to think strategically and deliver results under pressure. Strong communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to translate complex technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience. In-depth knowledge of Australian government security frameworks, including Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) and Information Security Manual (ISM). Experience with automation, DevOps principles, and continuous integration/deployment (CI/CD). Prior experience with large-scale defence or national security projects, providing cloud, data, and AI solutions. Why Join Us?
