You’ll play a critical role in securing our cloud infrastructure, resolving security alerts, and ensuring compliance across our GCP environment. This project-based contract role is perfect for someone who thrives in a fast-paced setting and enjoys solving complex security challenges. In this role you will: Analyze and resolve GCP security alerts, configure firewalls, manage IAM roles, and implement best practices to safeguard our cloud environment. Conduct audits, improve performance, and ensure cost-efficient cloud operations. Implement security policies, encryption standards, and least privilege access to keep our environment secure and compliant. Leverage automation tools like Terraform and CI/CD pipelines to streamline security updates and processes. Perform vulnerability scans, penetration testing, and develop proactive strategies to counter cyber threats. Share knowledge with the team and maintain detailed security documentation. To succeed you will need: Proven experience securing Google Cloud Platform (GCP) environments. Expertise in IAM, Cloud Security Command Center, and Cloud Armor. Hands-on experience with firewalls, VMs, networks, and security incident resolution. Familiarity with GDPR, HIPAA, or ISO 27001 compliance. A passion for problem-solving, innovation, and staying ahead of cyber threats. Google Professional Cloud Security Engineer certification is an advantage.
