Job Description

With the Council’s exciting acquisition of Sfera’s, we are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Commercial Manager to join our team. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in driving future growth. Reporting to the Venue Director, your primary responsibility as the Commercial Manager will be to establish, build, and diversify robust sales pipelines to drive long-term growth for Sfera's. You will play a pivotal role in shaping our sales strategies while contributing to the continued success of our venue within the South Australian hospitality industry. Key responsibilities include: Manage all of Sfera’s Commercial functions, including sales, marketing, finance and Accommodation Service agents Oversee all aspects of revenue management including recruitment and training, customer service, and achieving financial targets Lead and develop your team, ensuring the hotel’s success and profitability Drive improvements in performance and implement strategic changes aligned with business objectives Foster strong relationships with key stakeholders Maintain high product and service standards while optimising revenue and controlling expenses Proactively cultivate client relationships through genuine and personable interactions, both over the phone and face-to-face Develop and implement effective sales strategies to secure market share and drive revenue growth Manage the identification, pursuit, and securing of new business opportunities Stay informed about competitor offerings and adjust strategies accordingly to maintain a competitive edge Promote Sfera's as a complete venue solution, maximising business opportunities across events, conferences, food, and beverage Maintain accurate client information within internal databases Manage the contact for client sales inquiries and independently conduct site inspections as needed Collaborate closely with the leadership team to achieve KPIs and sales objectives Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, delivering timely and professional feedback to clients and internal teams Actively facilitate sales meetings, contributing innovative ideas and solutions to support the growth of Sfera's Establish and execute a plan for achieving sales growth for the business in the Meeting, Incentives, Convention, Events (MICE) Sector Manage and further develop existing key client relationships We are looking for a motivated team player who possesses the following: Proven sales experience with a track record of meeting and exceeding targets Previous experience in a sales manager, marketing manager or executive role Demonstrated success in managing the sales process from initiation to close Ability to clearly articulate the unique aspects of products and services Strategic thinking to position offerings against competitors effectively Full and unrestricted Australian working rights Join our team!
