The Commercial Team is responsible for all commercial revenue generating activities and portfolios at the Airport (Retail, Parking, Ground Transport and Hotels, Property and Development). The team’s remit covers all aspects associated with managing and growing commercial activities and revenues. The Commercial Strategy, Development and Programs Team is responsible for working with portfolio owners to set, monitor and evaluate commercial strategies – ensuring the team achieves strategic targets in a timely manner. About the role Please note this is a 12-month fixed term opportunity The Commercial Strategy Manager is responsible for providing analytical, modelling and research that informs the delivery of key commercial strategies and initiatives. The Commercial Strategy Manager will provide thought leadership, that supports commercial portfolio owners by: Developing new commercial strategies and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement Developing an in-depth understanding of our business and external market forces Developing models, analysis, presentations and research to inform investment cases Managing and contributing to strategic projects utilising problem-solving frameworks Building and nurturing strong advisory relationships with key external and internal senior stakeholders Defining problems and strategic solutions by scoping, analysing, preparing and presenting to key internal and external stakeholders Conducting strategic research Identifying issues, developing hypotheses and communicating insights and recommendations to key decision makers Providing active guidance to team members in the course of key strategic projects Driving continuous improvement, and fostering a culture of innovation. About you We are seeking a candidate with an undergraduate degree in a relevant field, preferably aviation, finance, or legal, and ideally a master's degree or equivalent. The ideal candidate will have 7+ years strategy consulting experience from Big 4 or Tier 1 Strategy consulting firm. They should possess strong analytical capability, strategic thinking, problem-solving skills, with significant experience market sizing, ideally within consumer sector or similar. The role requires a proven track record of engaging with senior stakeholders, including board members and shareholders, and making informed recommendations. Professional demeanour, articulate communication, and an analytical mindset with attention to detail are crucial. The ideal candidate will thrive in high-pressure environments, remain composed under tight deadlines, and inspire teams with strategic vision and integrity.
