About the opportunity Reporting to the Senior Communications Manager, you will be part of the team responsible for protecting and enhancing Australia Post’s reputation through the delivery of the communications strategy. The Communications Advisor (Content and Channels) helps implement and bring to life AP's positions and decisions, developing and delivering communications strategies and creating high-quality, engaging and innovative digital content across various platforms and channels. You will proactively identify story opportunities, in line with strategic objectives and content pillars, driving reach, engagement, and impact. You’ll be responsible for: Helping develop and deliver on the Communications Strategy and thinking about strategic initiatives that will improve communication for our team members. Proactively identifying and leveraging story opportunities to develop engaging content using a range of formats. Contributing to the development of AP's internal content strategy and implementing it, including producing high-quality written and audio-visual content. Maintaining a content calendar and managing the end-to-end development of content for timely and consistent delivery. Supporting enterprise projects and initiatives through effective delivery of communication plans and campaigns. Evaluating communications strategies and monitoring content performance to optimize engagement. Supporting adoption of Microsoft tools and initiatives to enhance engagement. Building trusted relationships with leaders and team members to understand business needs and audience interests. Collaborating with the wider Communications team to ensure consistency of business messages. About you You are a skilled communications and content specialist with creative flair and technical capability, action-oriented, and excellent at writing succinctly. You are organized, efficient, adaptable, and have a solution-focused attitude. What are we looking for? 5+ years’ experience as a communications, marketing, or content professional in a large, complex, and highly regulated organization. Proven experience in developing, executing, and evaluating communications campaigns and content plans. Experience in the retail or logistics industry with a geographically spread workforce is preferred but not essential. Natural curiosity about current news issues and the broader socio-political environment. Demonstrated interpersonal, change communication, and project management skills.
