Position Number: 0065021Location: ParkvilleRole type: Part-Time (0.6FTE); Fixed term for 12 monthsFaculty: Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health SciencesDepartment/School: Department of General Practice and Primary Care, Melbourne Medical SchoolSalary: UoM 5 - $83,159 - $95,518p.a. plus 17% super (pro rata for part time) Your next career opportunity As a Communications and Engagement Officer for the RESTORE and Safer Families Centres, you'll provide proactive support in transforming health system responses to abuse and violence. You'll develop and deliver impactful communications across various channels, including social media, websites, and events, to support groundbreaking research and drive positive change in health reform. Your responsibilities will include: Develop Engaging Content: Create and manage social media presence, promotional materials, and targeted communications to effectively share research insights and engage stakeholders. Manage Digital Platforms: Maintain and update the RESTORE and Safer Families websites using Squarespace, ensuring content is current and impactful. Coordinate Events and Stakeholder Engagement: Organise workshops and events, while building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to identify emerging issues and research ideas. Analyse and Report: Utilise data and analytics to generate insights, enhance targeted communications, and contribute to reports, briefings, and media releases. You may be a great fit if: You are a proactive communicator with excellent writing skills, experience in digital communications, and the ability to work flexibly in a dynamic team environment while meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality outcomes. You may also: Have relevant qualifications or experience in communications Possess high-level writing and editing skills for various audiences and formats Demonstrate proficiency in using contemporary communications tools and techniques, especially social media and website management Show strong self-motivation and ability to work both independently and collaboratively What we offer you!
