Job Description The Communications and Campaigns Manager will lead and manage the internal and external communications, fundraising and marketing campaigns and strategic engagement projects for AVI. Key Responsibilities Demonstrated ability to conceptualise ideas and translate them into effective communication and fundraising strategies, action plans and executed content Ability to develop content for a range of purposes, including campaigns, events, reports, web content and multi-media materials Highly developed interpersonal communication skills, including the ability to effectively liaise with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders Demonstrated creativity, imagination and flair in communications, online content development and fundraising Understanding of contemporary copyright, intellectual property and privacy principles Knowledge of international development issues and cross-cultural communication principles Experience in monitoring and evaluation of effectiveness of communication activities and materials Commitment to enhancing systems that support effective communications and fundraising activities Exceptional verbal, written and visual communication skills Ability to be self-directed and work well under pressure with changing priorities and multiple competing project deadlines Understanding of, and commitment to, EEO, child protection and privacy principles At least five years’ experience in a strategic and operationally focused communications and campaigns management role, preferably in a not-for-profit environment Relevant tertiary qualifications in Business, Journalism, Marketing, or Communications highly desirable.
