About The Position The City of Cockburn is seeking an experienced leader to manage a high-performing team in a fast-paced environment. The role oversees communications that inform and engage the community in an accessible way, while safeguarding the City's brand. The role is responsible for ensuring consistency of tone and brand across multiple channels. This role requires the flexibility to work outside standard business hours when deadlines require and the ability to be on-call to manage media approximately one week in three. About You The successful candidate will have exceptional leadership skills, a strong understanding of the political landscape and experience managing public relations and media engagement. Outstanding writing skills and a keen eye for detail are essential. Strong leadership, positive attitude, excellent planning skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities are essential.
