What you’ll be doing: As a Community Development Coordinator - Employment (CDC), you will facilitate and implement a range of innovative capacity building employment activities such as awareness raising, information sharing, stakeholder liaison, and community engagement activities. These activities will support and assist people living with a disability and enable them to link into supported and mainstream employment and/or volunteering opportunities. The position plays a pivotal role in engaging with people living with disabilities, their families, carers, and the broader community to increase awareness and remove barriers to employment and volunteering opportunities. Who we’re looking for: Significant proven experience working in community development roles. An understanding of community capacity building models. Demonstrated experience in supporting people living with disabilities to gain supported or mainstream employment opportunities. Demonstrated project management experience and administration. Exceptional interpersonal skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution skills. Highly developed analytical skills. Excellent verbal, communication, and presentation skills. High-level computer literacy. Ability to work flexible hours, depending on work requirements. Experience in new community development programs, implementation, and rollout. Experience and knowledge of the disability sector and NDIS legislation and Strategic Directions. Our values are not just words on a wall. What we can do for you: Salary banding from $80,861 - $86,849 depending on relevant qualifications and years of relevant experience. Non-for-profit Salary Packaging (up to the value of $15,899 per annum tax-free) and Meal and Entertainment Packaging (up to the value of $2,650 per annum tax-free) (Part-time and Full-time employees). All CDC’s receive a daily travel allowance ($25 per day!).
