Our Community Development Team is seeking a Community Development Officer - Aboriginal Programs. Purpose: To strengthen partnerships and deliver initiatives that support the Randwick City Council's commitment to reconciliation and cultural inclusion through engagement with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities. About the role: Collaborate with the Aboriginal community to develop and implement Council’s Reconciliation Action Plan (RAP). Build and maintain relationships with local stakeholders to deliver community-focused initiatives. Facilitate culturally appropriate programs and events that promote inclusion and respect. About you: Demonstrated experience in local government or a similar setting, with a strong understanding of community engagement and development principles. Proven connections with the La Perouse Aboriginal community and the ability to build trust and partnerships. Expertise in developing, implementing, and monitoring a Reconciliation Action Plan. Employment in this position is subject to the successful completion of a Criminal History Check with a result of no relevant adverse findings and a current Working with Children Check. #J-18808-Ljbffr
