About The Role Are you an engaging, results driven person with previous community heritage or collections experience looking for an exciting temporary role? If you are passionate about heritage and working with diverse communities, then this role could be for you. The position requires you to work as part of Greater Dandenong’s Heritage Team to plan, promote and deliver a wide range of community heritage engagement activities. You will have a clear understanding of what it takes to deliver engaging heritage programs and exhibitions and have a demonstrated ability to achieve results in a small, collaborative team environment. This position will work onsite across core hours of Wednesday and Thursday . Key Requirements A tertiary qualification in a relevant heritage related field, or through lesser formal qualifications with relevant work skills. A good knowledge of industry trends, standards and directions. Demonstrated previous experience: Developing and delivering heritage programs, exhibitions, and activities Promoting greater awareness and understanding of heritage conservation Providing advice to staff, Councilors and the public on heritage matters including preparation of reports, correspondence and presentations To be successful you must possess previous relevant project experience, including ability to complete tasks within specific timeframes and budgetary constraints. Previous experience within a local government context or working with historical societies would be highly regarded.
