About the Role There is an amazing opportunity for a community development specialist to build programs and capacity-building activities within our Community Hubs, including the Springvale Community Hub and the Keysborough South Community Hub due to open in mid-2025. The Community Hub Development Officer works within the Creative and Engaged City Department and alongside the Programming and Cultural Development Team. The role’s key responsibilities include the planning, implementing, and facilitating of activities and programs that build capacity and inclusion while enhancing the health and wellbeing of our local community. This will be achieved through building positive relationships with stakeholders and community groups. Position Objectives Stimulating greater use of community hubs by building relationships with external partners and hirers. Delivering activities that align with the Hubs' Strategic and Action Plans. Developing and implementing innovative programming that supports the growth and engagement of the community. About You The successful applicant will have excellent written and oral communication skills, demonstrated experience in delivering community development activities, community capacity building, and community engagement.
