Our Community Palliative & Supportive Care Service, operating from Greenwich Hospital, provides end of life care for patients who wish to remain at home. We’re looking for caring volunteers to visit patients in their homes to offer social support in North Sydney. You may spend time doing the following activities: Relate with people in a friendly manner that promotes their self-worth and dignity Watch a movie or go for a leisurely walk Engage in conversation Pet therapy Do a craft Spend time in the garden Support people to engage with any activities that are meaningful to them When you submit your enquiry, please include details on why you're interested in volunteering. Regular visits from volunteers can help to improve quality of life and help people feel less isolated.
