Career Opportunities: Community Research and Engagement Officer (3284) Requisition ID 3284 - Posted - Community Services - Full Time As the Community Research and Engagement Officer, you will be part of a team of four, reporting to the Community Research and Engagement Manager. The Community Research and Engagement Officer helps develop and implement Ipswich’s community engagement strategy. This involves organising activities like surveys, focus groups, workshops, and online engagement through the Shape Your Ipswich website. Some of your key responsibilities will include: Collaborate with a small team to deliver community engagement across the council. Develop, monitor, and evaluate multi-channel engagement plans to manage reputational risks and emerging issues. Plan and deliver place-based events and activations. Identify, define, and analyse key stakeholder groups and communication vehicles to standardise and deliver effective communication. Maintain an understanding of community demographics to inform effective engagement strategies. To be successful in this role you will have: Relevant professional qualification and/or substantial equivalent experience in community engagement, communications, market research and/or marketing. The ability to be resilient, agile, professional and composed under pressure. Interpersonal and relationship development and management skills. Working with Children Check – Issue of Blue Card and Positive Notice Letter (issued by the Queensland Government) or Exemption Card, or ability to acquire. Possession of a current Class ‘C’ driver’s licence. About the benefits This is a permanent full-time role, Level 6 with a salary commencing at $105,560 plus superannuation of up to 12.5%.
