Job Description

MoneyMob Talkabout MoneyMob Talkabout is a not-for-profit organisation with a vision to empower Aboriginal people and communities to achieve economic wellbeing and self-determination. Focused on the APY Lands, it provides a range of financial literacy programs and community services to local indigenous communities, and a one-stop shop for local community members to interact with the broader economy in a safe and supportive environment. As the organisation continues to thrive and grow, we are seeking a skilled manager to lead our community service and development programs and training social enterprise. With the chance to act as CEO during the Managing Director’s absence, this role offers the opportunity to have a critical influence driving the next phase of growth for this most worthy organisation. Reporting to the Managing Director alongside other executive team members, the responsibilities of this diverse management role will include: Leading multi-disciplinary teams across financial wellbeing, training, and community development programs; Providing timely strategic advice to the Managing Director about opportunities to drive organisational development and growth aligned with MMT’s strategic goals; Fostering a culture of collaboration, high performance, safety, and transparent communication; Monitoring sector, policy, and legislative changes to inform planning, budgets, and advocacy; Managing, mentoring, and coaching team leaders and ensuring clear goal setting; Ensuring compliance with contract, reporting, performance, and legislative standards; Developing and managing annual program budgets, ensuring financial accountability; Overseeing the development and implementation of MoneyMob’s Reconciliation Action Plan. Applications are encouraged from candidates with senior management experience and a strong passion for social and economic justice. We are looking for someone with experience in a broad range of programs, particularly those focused on supporting families/people with complex needs and/or high levels of trauma. Experience working with First Nations communities, knowledge of training and financial counselling/financial literacy programs will also be well regarded. The ideal applicant will have a demonstrated ability to manage complex stakeholder relationships, all aspects of contracts and budgets, and exercise sound judgement and fiscal responsibility.
