We’re looking for a friendly person who loves dogs to brighten the day of an older lady in Merewether. We need someone who would enjoy a half-hour walk 1-2 times a week with our client’s well-behaved small dog. Volunteering as a social visitor can be a rewarding experience, both for the person you visit and for yourself. Regular visits from volunteers can help improve quality of life and reduce feelings of isolation. HammondCare HammondCare is an independent Christian charity, and we're passionate about improving the quality of life for people in need. We have a wonderful group of volunteers that partner with us to enhance the lives of people cared for by HammondCare. HammondCare is a provider of The Aged Care Volunteer Visitor Scheme funded by the Australian Government, established to promote links between elderly people and volunteers in their local community. Requirements • 18 years or older• National Volunteer Police Check arranged and paid for by HammondCare• One-hour visits for 6 months or longer.
