Community Support Consultant (DES Employment Consultant) - Tweed/ Gold Coast We are currently seeking a passionate, motivated, and energetic Community Support Consultant to join our DES team. You will be working with people living with a disability, assisting them to manage the challenges and opportunities that come with securing mainstream employment. This role will be servicing our participants from offices in Tweed Heads, Robina, Murwillumbah, Pottsville, Kingscliff, and outreach. Ideally, you will have experience in brokering employment for participants in Disability Employment Services, delivering high levels of customer service in a complex stakeholder environment, and have demonstrated networks in the Community Services sector. Our team encourages innovative thinking and a can-do approach in a supportive and enjoyable workplace. Skills and experience / essential criteria Experience working in employment services preferred; however, we also encourage applications from those with Community Services, Case Management, Training, or Call Centre experience. An understanding of the issues/challenges facing participants and employers. Knowledge of local community agencies and the ability to identify and coordinate a range of appropriate services for participants. Strong communication and interpersonal skills with demonstrated exposure to challenging conversations with participants, stakeholders, and employers. Ability to demonstrate self-reflection, resilience, and accountability within a dynamic case management role. Excellent prioritization and time management ability with strong resilience capacity and calmness when working in a dynamic target-driven environment. Due to the nature of our customers' employment support needs, you may be required to work outside of normal business hours (on occasion). All successful candidates will be required to obtain a Police clearance, relevant working with children/vulnerable people clearances, and hold a current Drivers Licence.
