We are seeking Community Support Workers with significant experience, living in the Nedlands and surrounding areas and willing to provide personal care services throughout the Perth metropolitan area. Essential availability : Permanent Part Time (Contracted 55 hours per fortnight): Monday to Friday - 7am to 1pm Travel : Must be willing to travel throughout the entire Perth metropolitan area with their own vehicle Essential : The ability to be flexible on a daily basis with an ever-changing roster and travel requirement Brightwater can offer you: Travel within the community and receive an allowance of $0.96 cents per km Mobile phone for work purposes The ability to salary package up to $18,550 tax free per annum - meaning you can legitimately pay less tax and increase your take-home pay Our unique staff benefits program, including access to BrightwaterPlus which gives you discounts with over 370 retailers About the role: You will be visiting our elderly clients in their own private homes, assisting them to live independently in the community by supporting them with day-to-day tasks, social access, and sometimes just keeping them company. Each day is different with different needs and some of the duties include: Delivering quality care and support by ensuring the holistic needs of our clients are met in accordance with their Care Plan and care package Personal care including showering, dressing, and continence care Facilitating community access opportunities for our clients Providing cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation services Completing documentation and reports Our friendly Brightwater At Home team will provide all the training and support you require to be the best Community Support Worker that you can be. About you and what you will need: You are comfortable working on your own, and more importantly, care about our clients as much as we do Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate with people from diverse backgrounds and experiences An empathetic and considerate nature and a client-focused approach The ability to problem-solve and work flexibly without direct supervision Certificate III in Aged Care/Disability (desirable) A First Aid Certificate (less than 3 years old) or willing to obtain A Western Australian driver’s license (essential ) A reliable, insured car (essential ) A satisfactory National Police Clearance that is less than one year old Applications must be submitted through Brightwater’s online portal.
