The role The Compliance Advisor – Event and Conferences will advise and support the Events and Conferences teams, ensuring health, safety, and compliance requirements are consistently met. This includes support for key processes (e.g., event preparation, bump in and bump out), collaborating with stakeholders on risk assessments, and ensuring contractor compliance through documentation reviews, permits, and inductions. The role will also engage in regular audits, inspections, and client consultations across Crown’s entertainment and events spaces. Key responsibilities: Provide timely approvals for health and safety documentation submitted close to event dates (Short lead process). Identify and mitigate risks during event coordination and setup phases. Engage external stakeholders, including clients, to obtain necessary insurances, permits, SWMS (Safe Work Method Statements), and other essential documentation. Conduct regular audits and inspections of event setups, ensuring alignment with health and safety standards. Hold client liaison officers accountable to execution of SWMS documentation. Support Event Managers in meeting deadlines for submission and review of all health and safety documentation. Maintain accurate records of client OHS documentation, safety inspections, incident reports, training sessions, and compliance documentation. About you Have previously worked in a compliance environment and experience reviewing client documentation and conducting internal audits and checklists. Strong customer service skills, with experience liaising with contractors and subcontractors. Strong written and verbal communication is required to ensure all requests/queries are followed up in an accurate and timely manner. Excellent organisational, time management, and communication skills. Previous experience in managing Health & Safety aspects within hospitality or a similar field. (Preferred) Tertiary qualification in Workplace Health and Safety, Facilities Management, or a related field.
