The primary purpose of this 12-month fixed-term contract role is to perform the Compliance function activities as defined within ING’s risk transformation program (the Risk Excellence (RX) Program), Obligation Management workstream. Depending on the nature of obligations being processed within the RX Program, and the knowledge of the successful candidate, this role may be required, from time-to-time, to perform business as usual compliance activities to allow internal compliance resources to support the RX Program. What you’ll do Reviewing and interpreting obligations within the remit of the Compliance function Writing compliance controls where Compliance is the obligation owner, and reviewing compliance controls prepared by other obligation owners within the business Identifying, mapping and assessing Compliance owned processes and controls to obligations owned by the Compliance function Reviewing and challenging process and control mapping performed by other obligation owners Assist in the preparation and communication of progress reporting against Compliance activities as defined within the RX Program, Obligation Management workstream. What we’re looking for Legal degree, financial service law, risk management and/or compliance certification Minimum 5 years practical experience in compliance risk management, with a working knowledge of the obligation management life-cycle Awareness of current industry threats, trends and issues that potentially affect the Bank’s business Proficient at MS Office applications (word, excel, PowerPoint) Ability to negotiate and influence stakeholders across all levels of management (both internally and externally), make recommendations and achieve mutually beneficial outcomes.
