Compliance Officer (Financial Policy) (BH-19672-4) Location: Canberra, Australia Sector: Public Sector & Government Salary: $75k - $80k + Super This is a mid-sized government agency that plays a pivotal role in implementing policies and programs to improve communities across Australia.They also liaise with State and Territory government, peak bodies, and service providers to ensure the programs are delivered as intended. The Opportunity This is a good opportunity for a strong private sector administrator to break into Federal Government, or for a high performing APS4 EA / Administrator to expand their skillset in the APS.You will be joining a high-performing finance team known for a highly supportive environment, having placed several people in their team.The role will be initially offered as a 12-month contract and will focus on supporting the agency in ensuring compliance with financial policies. The Role Key responsibilities include: Support the team in providing advice on the application of internal financial governance policies and the Commonwealth Resource Management Framework. Contribute to the day-to-day management of the client’s Financial Management Compliance System, including associated reporting activity. Assist in undertaking activities associated with assurance and non-compliance reviews. The Ideal Person You are a highly organized individual currently working in financial administration looking to take the next step in your career. Ideally, you are already working in the APS, but you could also be in the private sector wanting to transition.You will be known for being responsive and possessing a strong attention to detail.
