THE ROLE Since 1978, Hallett Concrete has steadily grown to become a leading concrete supplier within the South Australian market. We supply to the domestic, commercial and industrial markets and specialise in supply to the technically demanding pre-cast market, for which South Australia is highly regarded. Hallett Laboratory is seeking applicants for a concrete field-testing technician. The position is a great opportunity for someone wanting to start a career in construction materials industry. Experience is not essential for the right candidate but would be highly regarded. The position will be based at Dry Creek and report to the Hallett laboratory manager. Hours of work may be variable depending on project requirements. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES Carry out concrete testing in the field/Construction Sites in accordance with Australian, DPTI, NATA, Hallett & customer requirements Ensure adherence to concrete testing frequencies Ensure adherence to laboratory safety, health and environmental compliance Provide feedback to technical manager on concrete performance FIFO Support, act as a backup for staff working at the Prominent Hill site by covering annual/personal leave QUALIFICATIONS | EXPERIENCE | CAPABILITIES Current and valid Australian Driver’s License (essential) Completion of (or willing to undertake) Certificate III in Laboratory techniques or equivalent (essential) Completion of Year 12, computer literate and competent in maths High level of motivation and self confidence in dealings with customers Working knowledge of Australian standards and test methods White Card highly regarded To be successful candidates may be required to submit a police clearance and complete a pre-employment medical APPLY NOW To be considered for this position click “APPLY” and submit a copy of your application Hallett Group values diversity and is uncompromising in pursuing an inclusive work culture.
