Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We are looking for a dynamic Conference & Events Sales Executive to join our pre-opening team of dedicated professionals. Your day to day People Undertake daily sales activities, plan and undertake work, working proactively with hotel and cluster hotel colleagues ensuring hotel revenue goals are achieved. Champion a great working environment for teams to thrive – connect departments to create a sense of one team. Interact with outside contacts: guests, vendors, and other contacts as needed. Develop and maintain great working relationships with key clients and outside contacts to increase revenue. Financial Hit all personal/team sales goals and maximize profitability. Assist in the preparation of budgets and financial plans including the hotel marketing plan. Implement sales plans that drive measurable incremental occupancy, increase average rates, increase volume, food and beverage and banquet sales. Assist in the production of monthly reports and sales forecasts to analyze current/potential market and sales trends. Help create and develop special events and sales campaigns to showcase the hotel to potential clients. Attend trade shows, industry events and major market events locally and nationally to promote new business. Guest Experience Provide guests with information (example: loyalty programmes, area attractions, restaurants, facility information) to enhance guest experience. Coordinate scheduling of conferencing and/or group accommodation at the hotel and coordinate with other departments to deliver services and events. Responsible Business Work closely with key business leaders, officials, and representatives of local community groups within the city to ensure constant high-profile exposure for the hotel. Effectively communicate and market aspects of the hotel that are sustainable or “green” and use information to gain new business opportunities. Accountability This role has considerable autonomy reporting directly to the Business Development Director. You will work closely with the broader Hotel and Owners Group - Sales and Marketing Team. What we need from you Bachelor’s degree / higher education qualification / equivalent in business development or related field. Previous experience in a hospitality or hotel business development sales and marketing setting. Strong knowledge of local businesses and business trends. Sound IT skills. How do I deliver this?
