Your Role As the Conference & Event Sales Manager, you will lead and manage the team responsible for all conference and event bookings at our property. Your responsibilities will include overseeing daily operations, financial performance, and strategic planning related to these bookings. You'll ensure a smooth process from understanding client needs to delivering them flawlessly, supervising staff, tracking bookings, and managing event coordination from initial inquiry through event completion, payment, and post-event analysis. You'll also collaborate with management and other department managers on various initiatives to achieve departmental, divisional, and corporate goals, while enhancing member, guest, and visitor experiences and driving business growth. About You The successful candidate will possess: Previous experience in a Senior Event Coordinating position. Demonstrated experience leading a team in a supervisory role or equivalent. Understanding of effective customer management and service standards. Knowledge of food and beverage operations. Extensive experience in business planning and knowledge of accounting procedures including planning, forecasting, and controlling. Excellent knowledge of marketing principles and selling techniques. Extensive experience in staff management practices including recruiting, rewarding, appraising, and counselling. Knowledge of event management, the meetings, and business events industry.
