Construction Manager - client-side with Developer (Residential) The opportunity: This role presents a unique opportunity for an experienced construction professional to step into a senior position that combines strategic leadership with practical involvement in delivering multi-residential projects. Working closely with the leadership team, the Construction Manager will: Guide the design team to deliver outstanding project outcomes. Provide construction expertise across the project portfolio from acquisition to handover. Offer hands-on input on costs, design, and buildability. Support the Projects Director in aligning construction projects with strategic objectives. Mentor a high-performing design team to deliver projects that are economically viable and fit for purpose. This position is ideal for a construction management professional eager to make a tangible impact, balancing strategic oversight with practical involvement in project delivery. The role: As Construction Manager, you will facilitate cross-team collaboration to provide construction advice, streamline processes, and implement best practices across all projects. This role will focus on optimising construction programs, engaging proactively with internal and external stakeholders, and establishing strong foundations to enhance organisational capability by considering whole-of-life costs, including operational and maintenance efficiency and sustainability. Key responsibilities include: Working closely with Development Managers on builder procurement and overseeing construction and commissioning. Leading contractual negotiations and ensuring documentation aligns with best practice principles. Developing a thorough understanding of the current project pipeline, including project histories, funding models, and design considerations. Identifying opportunities for process improvement, cost management, and program efficiencies. The successful candidate: To succeed in this role, you will bring proven expertise in construction management and leadership (preferably in residential construction) with a demonstrated ability to guide high-performing teams and drive project outcomes.
