The Opportunity We are looking for a Consultant within the Digital Risk team in our Canberra office. This role is offered on a flexible full-time basis. Your Key Responsibilities You will have the opportunity to work on multiple client engagement teams across government sectors. You will help clients identify opportunities to mitigate risk and improve process efficiency, effectiveness and business performance. You will leverage innovative tools and AI to evaluate the adequacy, efficiency and effectiveness of operational processes, controls, activities, policies and systems. You can expect to work with client personnel to analyse, evaluate, and enhance information systems facilitating the business internal control process. You will be able to leverage EY’s global network to identify solutions which solve our clients’ biggest problems and support them on their transformation journeys. Some understanding of key business processes, risks and controls. Assist in the coordination, planning and delivery of various Technology Risk engagements including Information Technology (IT) Internal Audit, Organisational Resilience, IT Controls Assessment and IT Risk Management. Some experience in using some key internal auditing techniques such as process walkthroughs, risk analysis, control identification and assessment and testing of operating effectiveness. Ability to build relationships with colleagues across the business, supporting them and promoting a collaborative culture. Collaborate with other members of the engagement team to plan the engagement and develop work program timelines, risk assessments, and other planning documents. The skills to apply a structured approach to project management and documentation, and a demonstrated understanding of risk-based internal audit methodologies. Ideally, you’ll have some experience working as an Internal Auditor. Use knowledge of the current IT environment and industry IT trends to identify the engagement and client service issues, and communicate this information to the engagement team and client management through written correspondence and verbal presentations. Ideally, you’ll also have A passion for emerging technologies and working within a team to advise clients on how to manage IT risks and accelerate performance. Attention to Detail: The meticulous scrutiny of extensive data and identification of potential security risks. Time Management: Ensure milestones and SLAs are met with close attention to competing demands on time.
