This hospital is part of a larger health service delivering acute, sub-acute, primary, and community-based health services to the Australian Capital Territory and surrounding areas. The facility represents a $1 billion investment and continued development is expected to continue for the next few years. This public hospital is currently a level 4, 270-bed facility, and continued development will provide more beds as well as increased services. It operates a 24-hour Emergency Department and offers inpatient services including general medicine, surgery, mental health, and critical care.Role Responsibilities As a General Medicine Consultant, you will be responsible for providing the highest quality clinical care and leadership within the department. You will work collaboratively with a dedicated team to deliver safe, patient-centred specialist care. You will be supported by multidisciplinary consultants, registrars, and junior medical staff, providing you with the opportunity for supervision, teaching, and training. You will also have the opportunity to engage in model of care developments, assisting the Clinical Director to ensure innovative and appropriate clinical governance mechanisms are in place.
