D PFEM has an exciting and diverse opportunity to join our growing People and Culture team as a Consultant to partner with a unique group of portfolios. You will have some experience in managing matters concerning employee and workforce management. We encourage applicants from diverse backgrounds and are open to discussing a flexible working arrangement. Hours per fortnight: 73.5 hours full time (minimum 44.1 hours / 0.6 FTE). We are open to considering a range of flexible work options including part time hours. Duties The Consultant, Partnering and Employment Services is responsible for supporting the delivery of a client focussed service to all levels of management and employees of the Department and providing high level advice and support in the management of a broad range of strategic workforce management, recruitment and employment and employee relations matters. Essential Requirements Pre-Employment Checks The Head of the State Service has determined that a person nominated for appointment to this position is to satisfy a pre-employment check before taking up the appointment, promotion or transfer. Any relevant serious criminal offence or repeated serious offences over any period, which are not mitigated by additional information, may provide grounds for declining an application for appointment. Such offences would include, but are not limited to: Arson and fire setting; Sexual offences; Dishonesty (e.g. theft, burglary, breaking and entering, fraud); Deception (e.g. obtaining an advantage by deception); Making false declarations; Violent crimes and crimes against the person; Malicious damage and destruction to property; Trafficking of narcotic substance; False alarm raising. Desirable Requirements A relevant qualification in human resource management or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.
