Location: Melbourne, Australia Sector: Medical & Nursing Salary: Salary package up to $380,000 The Role: We are seeking a Consultant/Specialist in Respiratory / Sleep Medicine to join a friendly regional Hospital, ONLY 200km’s away from MELBOURNE! An opportunity to work in a high capability rural health service providing safe quality care to patients in a broad catchment population of over 85,000 people. 2.5 hours to Melbourne Work/life balance Supportive team Rural location Affordable living You will be expected to take part in the rostered clinical care of inpatients and also conduct outpatient clinics and the outpatient respiratory function testing service. The successful candidate will participate in the Medical Unit inpatient roster which includes providing ward rounds, on-call service, bronchoscopy roster, and other interventional procedures as indicated for clinical care. This is an exciting role that will suit a specialist who is looking for an exciting opportunity to build the future respiratory service for patients. The Location: Some of the most diverse natural landscapes in the world. Skills & Qualifications required: Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians with full accreditation in Respiratory and Sleep Medicine with the Specialist Training Committee of the RACP. Enrolment and maintenance of ongoing CPD program. The appointee will be required to undergo a credentialing process and will be granted appropriate scope of clinical practice. There is a system of review and renewal of credentials and privileges for specialists on staff, reviewed on a three yearly basis. Sound communication and interpersonal skills. Current registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as Medical Practitioner.
