Seeking Locum and permanent Specialists in Emergency Medicine, Psychiatry, Anaesthetics, General Medicine plus most other specialties. Applicants must hold full General or Specialist Registration as a medical practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA). All major states and territories covered (NSW, VIC, QLD, SA, WA, NT, ACT, TAS). We can assist with locum placements in large, tertiary metropolitan hospitals or more rural/regional settings. We can secure contracts ranging from short-term positions through to long-term, ongoing work. Permanent Contracts Available. This is one of Melbourne’s largest public health services. They provide a range of emergency, surgical, medical, and general healthcare services, including maternity, palliative care, mental health, drug and alcohol, residential care, community health, and state-wide specialist services. This position supports the work of the Clinical Director, Adult Acute, Mental Health Program. The Consultant Psychiatrist is accountable for the delivery of clinical services to the clients of the service through providing clinical leadership, high-quality clinical services, and contributing to service evaluation, research, and planning. Part-time/Locum or full-time considered. The Consultant Psychiatrist will provide psychiatric services to the Adult Rehabilitation stream and the Mental Health and Wellbeing Program more broadly as directed/required. The Consultant Psychiatrist will work in partnership with the Manager/Team Leader to ensure that services provided to the community are of the highest standard, emphasising excellence, service, care, staff performance, cost efficiency, research, and education within a comprehensive clinical governance framework. Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists or equivalent postgraduate specialist qualification. Anaesthetic Consultant - Staff Specialist Bendigo Reporting to the Clinical Unit Head Anaesthetics, the Staff Specialist Anaesthetist will provide anaesthesia and related services to all interventional disciplines except Cardiac Surgery, Neurosurgery, and Transplant Surgery. Anaesthetic Department is accredited by the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA) as a training site for anaesthetic trainees for up to 24 months of training time. The Anaesthetic Department is located in the Interventional Suite complex and consists of the Anaesthetic team, a Departmental Secretary, and Acute Pain nurses. The Anaesthetic team consists of a number of full-time and part-time Specialist Anaesthetists, assisted by Registrars, who provide a wide range of services to both public and private patients. Position Requirements A current FANZCA college report outcome assessment. AHPRA registration as a physician and specialist, or eligible to apply for such. 700 bed state-of-the-art hospital. Service Medical Registrar opportunities offer rotations through General Medicine departments (including long stay and acute units) and various medical specialties including Cardiology, Endocrinology, Gastroenterology, Geriatrics, Haematology, Infectious Diseases, Medical Oncology, Nephrology, Neurology, Rehabilitation, Respiratory Medicine, Rheumatology, and Stroke; the ALERT prevention of deterioration service, and multiple transplant services (including cardiac, lung, renal); these roles provide a broad mix of opportunities and experiences. Emergency Medical Registrar opportunities offer a broad range of case load experiences in our adult/paediatric service, roster flexibility, training opportunities, and great consultant support. Registrar's required for Sydney/NSW, Brisbane/QLD, Perth/WA, Melbourne/VIC hospitals for the 2025 year. This is an opportunity for UK, Ireland, Canada, USA, New Zealand PGY4 + Doctors interested in taking a year to specialise in Australia, before returning home to complete their training. The Requirements Full AHPRA Specialist or General Registration for Senior Positions. For Junior positions: PGY4 + MBBS or equivalent to enable registration as a Medical Practitioner with the AHPRA is mandatory.
