What you will do as the Content Design Manager We are looking for a Content Design Manager to drive the content design function and take improvements achieved over the last 3 years to the next level. Skills To be successful in this role, it is critical that you can communicate with influence and negotiate for the best ideas to be implemented. You will have outstanding stakeholder management skills and experience building positive relationships, with individuals and groups and: Construct a cohesive content design system by building, maintaining and evolving content guidelines, rules and processes, and documenting these for the team. Plan and deliver a program of content design work, including responsive pieces and proactive improvements, allocating work to team members and tracking outcomes. Write, edit, structure and review content written for websites, portals and other digital products ensuring consistent, high-quality content. Draft and publish content using the Drupal content management system. Lead a small team of content designers. About You In order to succeed in the role, you will have demonstrated: Capability to write, edit and design high-quality content for websites and digital, reflecting expert knowledge of content standards and best practice principles. Ability to translate and transform complex information into clear, well-structured content that retains meaning and nuance while being easy to understand. The ability to build constructive and professional relationships and effectively collaborate, negotiate, and influence stakeholders to achieve user-focussed outcomes. Drive to lead strategic direction, plan a program of work, and lead website and content changes and improvements with confidence and skill. Ability to instigate and manage website content improvements and projects. Superior experience using complex content management systems, such as Drupal, and ability to independently find answers and solutions to application questions and issues that arise. Ability to troubleshoot and edit in HTML is essential. Experience in making evidence-based content decisions, drawing on user feedback, research and data insights and ability to use GA4 is essential. At least 5 years’ experience in content design and website publishing and more than 3 years’ experience supervising employees and leading a team is essential. Tertiary qualifications in communications, marketing or similar fields are highly preferred. To find out more about us and the role, please read the Candidate Kit.
