Content Specialist, Domestic Marketing Job No.: 568599 Work type: Fixed Term Full time Fixed Term until 10/4/26 Bundoora Be part of a passionate and innovative team About the position The Content Specialist, Domestic Marketing role sits within the Creative and Production team and is responsible for producing, editing and optimising written content and implementing content strategies across web, SEO, email, digital and print publications, and digital marketing for a prospective domestic student audience. Reporting to the Content Manager, the role is embedded within the cross-functional domestic squads to work collaboratively with key stakeholders across marketing and international recruitment to draft written content and help oversee end-to-end processes that enable accurate and timely delivery of content across digital and traditional marketing channels. This role is a maternity leave coverage role and follows hybrid ways of working, with a blend of office (on-campus) and work from home days. Some of your duties will include: Create, edit and optimise written content across print and digital channels that meets organisational goals and aligns with digital and copywriting best practice. Provide high-quality content marketing advice and editing services to support the domestic marketing squads and projects as required, or as directed by the Content Manager. Acts as the first point of contact to brief in content requirements and oversee the content production process to meet strict deadlines. Proactively engages and works with subject-matter experts and various areas of the university to deliver marketing and/or academic product-related content across digital and traditional marketing, including major publications, website, course webpages and marketing collateral. Work within the Agile methodology to participate in special projects and squads within the scope of the position as required by the Content Manager. Supporting marketing efforts and business growth through data-driven and best practice copywriting and content strategy for advertising campaigns targeting a prospective student audience. Skills and Experience Proven experience in writing, editing, optimising and repurposing digital and print content to specifically suit traditional and digital channels (digital advertising, web, social media, video or print). Demonstrated ability to research and source content from multiple sources and translate complex or academic materials into plain English that is adapted for audience needs and adheres to web usability, accessibility and SEO principles. Experience in stakeholder management, liaison and engagement, including providing constructive advice to internal stakeholders. Demonstrated ability to set priorities and monitor workflows within own area of responsibility within a digital marketing or content production environment. Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multi-disciplinary team, including the ability to manage competing priorities, effectively prioritise work and achieve user-focused outcomes.
